Bobbie Hinman grew up in Baltimore and holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary
Education from Towson University. She is the author and co-author of seven
successful cookbooks. These include the Lean & Luscious series and the Meatless
Gourmet series. Bobbie has traveled all over the country promoting healthy
eating, both as a featured speaker and as a guest on radio and TV shows. She
is proud of the fact that she even appeared as a guest on the Regis Philbin Show.
Several years ago, Bobbie decided to re-invent her literary career. With her experience as an elementary teacher, along with the joys of reading to her ten grandchildren, it seems natural that she has turned her attention to the world of children’s literature. The Knot Fairy was the first in her series of fanciful children's books. The Sock Fairy is the second book in the series. The third book is in the planning stages; however the title remains a closely guarded secret. Bobbie credits her grandchildren for being the source of her ideas. In return, she has taught them that, if all else fails, blame it on a fairy! With this series of fairy books, Bobbie and her husband Harry have launched their own publishing company. Best Fairy Books is honored to be associated with the fine illustrator, graphic designer, audio engineer, printer and musicians whose combined talents have contributed to these award-winning books. Bobbie is a member of the Maryland Writers’ Association, the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and the New Atlantic Independent Booksellers Association. She lives in Maryland with her husband (and best friend), Harry.
